Anything over 80 will get you an automatic court date for the assessment of the fine. They will not let you mail in the payment and will not even tell you the fine. The area has no residential or businesses on either side of I-10 just swamp land and is way outside of town. The speed limit goes to 70 on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain which is what it should be all along I-10 outside the central city.

Large Median with bushes that the Louisana State Police hide behind. Caught going 82 in a 60 at 1AM!! There was light traffic, it was very safe to go well over 100! The officer said that 82 was "a little extreme" Not as bad as some places in Louisiana where I-10 slows to 40!!!
