Pine Prairie, Louisiana Speed Traps

Was doing speed limit of 55 outside of town when I saw sign that speed limit ahead was 45 so I slowed down to 45 by the time I got to the 45 sign but was given ticket for doing 55 in 45.

Sorry people to trap people like this…I just sent my 150.00
For doing 53 in a 45… Will never do business in this town again

Coming from the interstate towards Eunice, the speed limit suddenly drops from 55 to 45, and you can’t slow down fast enough (without slamming on the brakes), because the squad car has suddenly pulled out behind you.

As the office said, he "has to give you a ticket for something", and you will get a ticket for something.

Local police hide next to hwy say the radar as you are coming into town from 55 to 45 in just about a couple of hundred feet. If they can’t get you for speeding they pull you over for window tint and there machine shows low. Also will pull you over for following to close because it is your word against the officer. Local kangroo court by mayor and all fines are high. Avoid if possible.

Please be aware that Pine Prairie, La. is a wide place in the road that is known locally
as a speed trap. I was recently given a ticket for going 57 miles an hour. The officer
said it was in a fourty -five mile per hour zone. This is open country and hwy 13 is a
55 mph road. The police chief in the next town said it has been a trap for several years.
