Robeline, Louisiana Speed Traps
Hwy. 6, eastbound into edge of town
As you enter town on Hwy. 6 from the west, there is short notice of the speed limit drop from 55 to 45, and you are going downhill. Robeline PD will sit at the bottom hill itching to hit you for what you are doing immediately as you hit the 45mph zone.

I am not sure where the patrol car was actually located since it was almost dark and he was behind me with lights flashing before I noticed him. Claims he clocked me going 59 in a 45 which must mean it was immediately after the speed limit changed from 55 to 45 as other poster has noted. It was on Saturday night about 8 PM.
High Way 6 West bound
Before entering this village(West Bound) where the speed changes from 55 to 45 then to 35, you see a house of an old man on to your right. If you notice clearly, you will see unmarked cops sitting at his home(which is at a convinient height to track your speed with a laser gun). You can’t see cops until you come around curve then it’s too late. Cops will also flow with traffic running radar while moving. If you speed you pay! I was caught at 67 in a 45 speed zone and I ened up paying 287 bucks….. Please be very cautious around this area.

as has been stated here the policemen here are itching to write a ticket. in my instance i was passing through to get on i-49. i was no more than 150 ft behind my wife (who feels like speeding is a sin) as i passed through "town" yet was "clocked" at 71 in a 45 unlikely if not mathmaticly impossible. seeing as he didn’t bat an eye at her who would’ve had to be traveling just as fast or faster for me to not hit her while going 71 in a 45thats 26 MPH faster than her while not passing or hitting her truck. and the reason this smells like fish is when i got out of the car the ticket was near complete mear seconds after his car stopped. then he has the gaul to say " must be hard to not put your foot down in a car like that huh? " (’07 mustang GT) needless to say apart from the 4hr trip back to fight the ticket his lil town will forever be bipassed by everyone i know
State Highway 6 near La. Hwy 6 & Hwy 120 Crossing
Robeline is a small community with between 500 & 1000 residents. It is a well known by all locals as a speed trap town. There are at least 3 police officers in this small community, all driving new vehicles. On Mother’s day the police were stopping all trafic on Hwy 6 to check inspection stickers. They set up on both ends of town in yards and have no tolerance for any speed over posted speeds.
