Slidell, Louisiana Speed Traps
Hoover Street near 10 Expressway
A couple of LA state troopers in an apartment complex parking lot on Hoover with a radar gun will wave you over. The speed limit is apparently 25 mph, though the street is 2 lanes divided by a yellow line (doesn’t look residential, that’s why they set up there). Local word is that they need $ because of Katrina. I’ll deduct the ticket fee from this year’s contributions.
Third Street near State Highway 11
Hides in the bushes at Eagle Lake for speeding and on the side roads in Alton waiting for some to do a rolling stop at the stop signs on Third Street.
Brownswitch Road near Military Road
Between the intersection of Robert Rd. and Military on Brown Switch Rd. Hides either in the parking lot just east of the overpast,or on Jacob rd. Post from 45mph to 30 mph.
The area is light industrial.
Interstate 10 near Twin Spans
East Bound is the most at risk, as you come off the I-10 twin spans the troopers and sheriffs site in the median and you will not see them until you gat all the way off the bridge, but by hten it is too late.
US Highway 190 near US Highway 90
When Driving down Hwy 190 heading towards Mississippi go the speed limit. I have been pulled over on that road and I have see many get pulled over.
