LA 10 at Spring Hill Volunteer Fire Dept. (between mile markers 1 & 2)

Spring Hill, LouisianaApr 10, 20020 Comments

State trooper sits at the back corner of the VFD parking lot, nearly behind the building. As you approach from the West, he is hidden from sight until you reach the top of the hill, and if you’re not paying close attention, he’ll zap you with instant-on (Ka band). Speed limit is 45 in this rural area approaching Fort Polk, but traffic routinely does 55-60.

As you enter this area there is but one sign for a 45 mph zone with the police sitting next to the sign…If you or going 55 as you approach ..there is no time to slow down. They nail you if you have not slowed to 45.
