I-49 grand coteau, sunset

Sunset, LouisianaMay 01, 20160 Comments

Yes this is definitely a speed trap! The grand coteau cop will wait in the medium for speeding cars or “suspicious” looking cars to pull over! It is a trap and down right harassment! I was unaware that grand coteau , which isn’t even large enough to be a town even had jurisdiction on I-49!! Look into that if you receive ticket there.

Robert Dailey Rd./W. MLK, Entire street

Sunset, LouisianaApr 22, 20160 Comments

The posted speed limit is 20/mph, which is super low, and as the road turns into MLK the police wait for easy pickings right behind the 2nd speed limit sign. They radar you even as you slow down. The first sign is easy to miss. Shooting fish in a barrel.

Duffy Drive near Hwy 182

Sunset, LouisianaJun 22, 20080 Comments

Heading north on Hwy. 182 just before getting into Sunset posted speed limit is 40 mph. As you get into sunset at the corner of Hwy 182 and Duffy Dr. the speed limit drops to 30 mph. Watch for the ‘Barney Fi’s’ in their brand new white Dodge Chargers in the back of the parking lot of that law firm on the corner, across from Chase Bank.
