Tickfaw, Louisiana Speed Traps
The whole town is the trap the unrealistic part of the speed limits is that they change every few hundred feet.
The police park in areas where they can totally be hidden.
The police in Tickfaw are in front of the school on Hwy. 442 every morning and afternoon giving higher fines in school zones. They also setup road blocks every two or three months on Hwy. 51. in front of the police station. They are in need of financial support so please follow all signs in the town limits.
Patrol cars hide (esp. in the early morning hours) to catch anyone going over the 25 mph limit.
Police pull off the road and hide in places not seen from the roadway. They use front and rear radar and in car camara systems. They will always get you one way or the other.
The town is only about 3/4 of a mile long, but if you come through going 3 or 4 miles per hour over the limit, you will get a ticket. The town makes a pile of money off this.
