Machias, Maine Speed Traps

Just past the Rt 1/Rt 1A intersection traveling east in Machias, Maine the local police hangout in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot (no police/doughnut jokes please). The area is poorly lit and you will not see the cruiser. Most of the nearby roads have speed limits of 50 mph but it drops to 30 mph in the area around Dunkin’ Donuts. Officers pay particular attention to out-of-state vehicles.
