Speed limit changed Summer 2007. A new 45mph sign was posted well outside town, 0.4 mile south of the 30mph zone. North Berwick PD wait at bottom of hill on Button RD to catch people coming over the hill crest.

Speed limit sign changed summer 2007. Was 55 to 30 but a new 45mph sign was added well out side town and North Berwick PD is taking advantage of the change. They wait in the parking lot of a red brick building accross the pasture.

They will hide anywhere they can get off the road, and have enough community support, that they are apt to be parked in the end of anybody’s driveway running radar. The North Berwick PD is pretty consistent about enforcement as a group, but there are a couple officers, (who will remain nameless, but they know who they are and so don’t you if you have received a ticket there),who would write thier dead grandmothers a ticket for speeding on the way to thier funeral. Be careful when passing through this "quaint" little Maine town, ’cause chances are, if your stopped, you will get a ticket.
