Veazie, Maine Speed Traps

Veazie has about 2/10 of a mile on this road between Orono, and Bangor, and they have the gall to set up there

The speed limit is 25mph throughout most of the area. There are a few (not all) that are pretty militant about it. They could be sitting at any parking lot in the area on either side of the road. (Veazie – Penobscot County)

Veazie Police travel this area and have eagle eyes when it comes to vehicle defects. Be careful you never know where they are lurking.

Veazie police will set up camp in a drive on the left after the overpass over I-95 going into veazie and also about 200 feet up the road on the same side just before the trailer park. There is also a spot on the right before the state street intersection.

Veazie is not well known for very much, but it is very well known for speeding tickets. If you ask anyone in the Bangor area, they will tell you that Veazie is a very dangerous place for anyone who is a little too liberal with the gas pedal. Veazie is a sleepy small town and there is little else for police to do than traffic enforcement. All areas along Route 2 are fair game (about a 4 mile stretch).
