Columbia, Maryland Speed Traps
Left side of the road is an emergency vehicle turn around point… State Troopers often frequent weeknights at night between 1130pm and 2 am.
In the middle of the highway there is a cutout where Maryland State Police love to hang out at. It’s right after the bottom of the hill on blind curves from both directions. They are usually facing south and usually during evening rush hour.
Very agressive Howard County Police will tailgate you on your bumper at speed to force a violation.
This behaivior of some officers border on criminal!
The whole section of Route 100 between 27 and 95 is one big speed trap. State Troopers park on all the blind corners on 100 and will pull people over doing less than 10 over.
