Darnestown, Maryland Speed Traps

received tic in mail that I was going 44 in 30 zone first time driving in this area and the same day earlier in am received tic 19500 blk Fisher Ave going to and from whites ferry(Poolsville).going reported 48 in 30 zone again. The chances of 2 in same day says something!!!

There is a 40 mph speed limit which goes down to 30 mph. About 100 ft, if that, from the 30 mph sign is the camera, and the road is on a downhill slope. I have gotten 2 tickets from this speed trap even though I was being extremely careful. There is a 24 hour speed camera on MD 28 west of darnestown before MD 112

Right as you come off 112 onto esworthy road, around the first bend there is a cop with a radar gun occasionaly durring rush hour. This is right after a 45 – 30 mph speed change so make sure to slow down!

The place is in Darnestown right beofre you get to Darnestown E.S. the speed goes from 40mph to 30 mph and gets everyone.
