Once you turn off of rt 140 onto Kays mill rd, you immediately increase speed as you drift down a 200+yd straight away hill. At the bottom of the hill, prior to the bridge, the Trooper sits at the Old Kays mill stop sign. most of the time his car is behind the embankment, or what out in the winter when they hind behind the snow mounds.

East Bound 140 – near sandymount rd.

I received a ticket on Sunday, Sept.2nd. Eastbound 140 for "failing to move to the farthest left lane from an office who was giving a citation on the right shoulder of 140. I had my blinker on, waiting for an opportunity to get into the left lane and then moved into the left lane to make a left turn onto Sandymount Rd., but I did not make that adjustment BEFORE I approached the Troopers car. Trooper admitted I was not speeding and did attempt to move to the left lane but not quickly enough. He actually came up behind me in the far left lane for me to pull over to the right shoulder. I don’t think many people know of this law, but this trooper seemed to make his quota for the month on 140. As soon as he issued the citation to me, he pulled over the next car in the right lane. I’ve been told this guy does this on both sides of 140 all the time. Beware and be careful.
