State Highway Great Seneca Highway near Interstate 355
Heading North on Quince Orchard Rd. towards 355, by the Lake Forest Mall intersection. Right before you pass Sam’s Club and approach 355. Cops are parked on the right, wearing vests and come up to your car with a hand held radar detector. The speed limit is 35, which is slower then what regular traffic is doing. I thought the cops were cross guards or something and before you know it a cop hit my car with his hand and signaled me to pull over. Well, I got pulled over for doing 45 AND keeping up with traffic. Be Careful I always see them and I never knew what they were really doing.
State Route 355 near Old Country Buffet by before route 117
Heading southbound on 355 in Gaithersburg you will pass a plaza containing an Old Country Buffet and Vitamin Shoppe. Police, typically more than one because of it being a high traffic area, will park in the plaza, stand behind a sign or shrubery with a radar gun. Once tagged, police will stand in traffic, wave you over to the parking lot, process you in record time and go on to the next unsuspecting driver.
