Going on Watkins Mills Rd (near WMHS) toward Germantown. Cop sits at other side of ravine at top of hill with trunk lid open and clocks. Cop can be seen from your side of ravine and has plenty of time to clock you as you pick up speed going down through the ravine. That’s why they open their trunk, because they are pretty obvious. Might even be a school zone.

Speed photo traps have been installed and will be active shorty (oct 31/07) both sides of Montgomery Village Avenue. From west, after mid county highway. From east, around walkers choice rd (end of lake whetstone). Also there are often cops further east down Montgomery village ave and in areas near Lakeforest mall–Christopher Ave, Lost Knife, Watkins Mill (photo trap).

Montgomery Village Avenue near Golf Course/Powerlines

This trap is for traffic heading further into Montgomery Village (going away from Lakeforest Mall). Officers sit on the right hand side of the road after you pass Club House Rd. There is a slight turn as you head down hill there, as soon as you clear the turn they are on the other end of the straight away waiting with radar. The speed limit here is 30 I believe and they are always eager to catch as many people as they can, as I’ve seen at least 4 police officers there handing out tickets. This has been like this for years.

Watkins Mill Road near Elementary School

Montgomery, MarylandApr 04, 20070 Comments

This trap is set at the Watkins Mill Elementary school. Often times a police officer will park behind the elementary school sign and tag people as they come over the bidge heading away from 355. This isn’t a very common trap but it is there non the less. This trap is usually active before school gets out or while school is in session, if you pay attention you will be able to spot them in time.
