Montgomery, Maryland Speed Traps

When the police get tired of always enforcing the traps over by the radio towers they wonder over to this not-so-far-away spot down the road. Once again the police use the hills that go up to Apple Ridge road to their advantage. Hiding among the parked cars along the side of the road they normally grab motorists going further into MV. Coming from a student who attended Watkins mill high school, the priority for police should be catching red light runners and aggressive drivers at the intersection at the top of the hill. (Apple Ridge and WM rds) In the past two years two students getting hit crossing the road have caused increased tickets in this section of the road. Even though both of those incidents where causes by POOR PEDESTRIAN ATTENTION and were essentially the pedestrians’ fault: the police seem to use that as an excuse to shoot radar.

the cops are there usually close to the end of the month… but always set up there randomly too. if your coming from 355 away from quince orchard road, its after the Montgomery Village shopping center Always in the middle of the street on the median next to the entrance for the golf course!
