A NEW fixed speed camera trap on Briggs Chaney Road, just before Peach Orchard road (going west towards NHampshire Ave) and at Mayflower road (going east towards Rt. 29).
9200 block of Colesville Rd near Greyrock Dr
Two box cameras, one pointing in each traffic direction. Maximum speed 35 miles. Cameras have been registered on Waze since June 28, 2014.
Georgia Avenue at Woodside Parkway
Box speed cameras set low – 35 MPH on 6 lane divided with wide medians. Very easy to go 47+ here.
on 16th Street near Lyttonsville Rd, north and south bound
Speed-trap cameras have been installed pointing both directions where the road is 3 lanes in both directions and the speed limit is ONLY 35mph. No police officer. Ticket is sent in the mail. This is a most egregious example of Big Brother abuse of power and technology. It will be a huge money maker for the State of Maryland.
