The radar device was on a tripod stand and the officer jumped out on the road to flag cars down. I mentioned the stop to friends who live in the area and students of a local school who said the police are there regularly trying to catch people speeding, even in the range of speed one to five miles over the speed limit. Definitely a cash cow. I wish I would have known about this one.
