Timonium, Maryland Speed Traps

Police sit in the golf course entrance and get people going around the turn from both ways.

Police sit on the road near 83 off Timonium Rd. where new houses are being built and catch people traveling east on Timonium Rd. The speed limit is only 30 mph on this straight stretch of road.

Exceptionally wide median just after bridge over Western Run–two marked MSP cruisers pulled well off into shrubbery in the median. Police shoot laser at southbound traffic approaching down a long 1/4 mile hill. I was stopped for 83 mph in a 65, which was not much faster than prevalent traffic speed given the undeveloped area and aforementioned long hill. I was directed to back up on the left shoulder so my white car would not be as visible to future victims. Two officers were working, and they stopped three more cars in the 10 minutes I spent on the side of the road. As soon as the other officer was done with a vehicle, he would stop the VERY NEXT ONE coming down the hill. Not sure the mile marker, but be vigilent on I-83 southbound when you are less than 10 miles out from the I-695 interchange.

a marked unit will sit at any one of the road openings on the left side of the street when passing under the I-83 bridge heading toward Mays Chapel Rd(west). They will generally pull people over going 12-15 miles over the speed limit during the day, but will enforce it more strictly at night.

A marked car will sit just across from Chatterton road. While heading southbound on Jennifer road, just at this point there is a right hand bend in the road. Alot of brush makes it difficult to see the car until too late.
