Towson, Maryland Speed Traps

Two separate frequent traps. One is manned Balto. Co. Police, always sitting in lot of Methodist Church just east of Bellona Ave. Other is a just about to be erected (poles already in place) speed camera which will be mounted on the southern side of Stevenson La. (right by Dumbarton Ball Fields) across from mouth of Stanmore Rd. This camera will take photos/issue citations for anyone doing 12 or more miles per hour above the posted 25 limit. Citations will be $40 each.

Cops love to hang around the Aggressive Driving Enforcement Zone on Loch Raven Blvd. these days. Beware from between Northern Parkway and Joppa Rd. on Loch Raven Blvd.

The cops will sit in a parking lot on Stevenson Lane right across from Hearth Court. I have never been stopped there but I live on Hearth Court and i see them out my window all the time.

Baltimore County Police sit on grass shoulder on south side of W. Joppa Road between N. Charles St. overpass and Meadowridge Rd. usually during evening rush. Most typically on Friday evenings. They have a clear view in either direction and stand outside vehicle and keep gun aimed down until they see a car approaching. Very limited advance warning for driver.
