Rt. 2 East Bypass near Exit Number 59 / Rt. 60

Arlington, MassachusettsApr 28, 20080 Comments

Either coming off Rt. 2 East and approaching Rt. 60 or using the access road heading east from Park Ave as an on ramp for Rt. 2 East, officers have been using radar for the traffic heading down the hill. Cars are either coming off the exit at highway speeds or picking up speed to merge on to the highway, yet posted speedlimits at 30, I believe.

The officer sits in his car on Westmoreland Avenue, across from the reservoir, usually monitoring traffic coming from Lexington. Enforcement is stepped up typically in the springtime before the reservoir opens and pedestrian traffic is increased

High Street and Lockeland

Arlington, MassachusettsMar 01, 20010 Comments

Patrol car takes advantage of 400 yard stretch without streetlights to hide in the dark at this intersection(mostly near sunset). Will also hide behind bushes on side streets on the right as you approach Church Street. Speed limit of 30 mph stongly enforced.
