Bodwell Street

The Avon cops love to patrol the industrial park, and with so many blind drives leading to parking lots, it’s really hard to tell where they are until it’s too late. Entering the park from Page street (by the Dunkin Donuts), there’s a Mac Systems building on the leFort They like to sit in that lot in the morning. About a hundred and fifty feet past that, there’s a large open lot (Exhibigroup, I think) that they sit in from time to time. Once you’re in that long, slow curve, they sit in any of three parking lots on the outside of the turn — to the right if you’re entering the park, to the left if you’re leaving. They actually seem to stay out of the other end of the park, though I have seen a GM full-size sedan sitting at the entrance to Kiddie drive. It could’ve been an old State unit, or maybe it was just a coincidence.

They don’t do it very often, but when they put an officer on that side street on Pond, they nab people left and right. It’s just before the speed limit changes to 25 (from 35), and it’s at the bottom of a long hill, so it’s not unusual to be going 40 or 45 for a few seconds before you slow down before the fork in the road.
