Boston, Massachusetts Speed Traps
Interstate 93 South near Where Storrow drive West enters 93 south
This is a new trap now that 93 south is underground. Reduce speed to 40 MPH as you cross the Leonard P. Zakum Bridge. State Troopers sit on the far left side of the tunnel, usually 5 or more at a time using up to two guns flagging speeders over as they come down hill to the underground portion. This trap comes out after 10:30 at night on weeknights, and many people get pulled over. I cannot stress it strong enough watch your speed in the downtown section of 93 south. Massachusetts Avenue near Mass Ave. Bridge
When coming over the Mass Ave. bridge (over the Charles River) into Boston, there commonly is at night an officer in a patrol car watching for speeding vehicles. The limit over the bridge is 35 (I believe) but it is common to see vehicles going 50-55+ on this bridge during late night when there is minimal traffic on the bridge. The officer will sit on the first small road on the right side between the river and the first traffic light, and you do not see him until you are just passing by him.

The first rotary of the VFW parkway before going into West Roxbury
The motorcycle cops park inside the rotary out of view and nail you as you approach the rotary. The posted speed limit is 25 mph which is a crawling pace and everyone gets stuck. This happens on the east side as well about 50 yards from the rotary the cruiser is parked on the right side with his radar.
