Brighton, Massachusetts Speed Traps

heading eastbound on Commonwealth Ave, RIGHT AFTER you leave Newton City Limits… There is a cop that hides in the driveway to Evergreen cemetery (which is a perfect hiding place because there’s a tiny hill before you can see the tiny valley/driveway). I’ve only seen it used twice in the summer, but EVERYONE gets nailed when it does get enforced.

Heading east bound on Comm ave just past Boston College the Boston PD parks off the road on the access to the Evergreen cemetery, Wade St., under some great big mature trees, well shaded. I have seen as many as 3 motor cycle cops passing around a lidar gun and writing citations as fast as they can. The road is illegally posted 30mph, so says Mass Highway. Comm ave is a 2 lane divided highway at that point prima facia speed limit is 50mph so fight them tickets. I recieved a citation the Friday after thanks giving 2002. Which I fought an won.

Only on warm or hot days 🙂 (yes that’s true). Most of the time going west bound on Comm ave right before Boston College. Once and a great while going East bound right after Boston College.
