Brockton, Massachusetts Speed Traps
On East Street in Brockton (between Oakland Street and Edson Street).
A Brockton Police cruiser is parked sometimes on the shoulder (allegedly using radar) to clock speeders. Speed limit is posted on this road but not where one could see this if entering East Street from Oakland Street.
radar trap on the bottom of the of the hill as you come down from cardinal spellman high school on court st.
Brockton Police cruiser parked on Swift Rd while officer is shooting hand-held radar from edge of woods on West Elm Ext. Speed limit is posted 30mph. I went by doing about 38mph before I saw him but he didn’t flinch when I passed. He immediately turned around and starting shooting radar at opposite traffic. It’s normally a quiet road with very little traffic and not thickly settled so I can’t understand the 30mph limit.
Massasoit Police will set up anywhere on the campus at any time of day or night, beware…
They police like to hide in the side streets and the cemetery. Sometimes there are two of them, one with a radar, and one that waits ahead near Court Street to pull you over.
