Cambridge, Massachusetts Speed Traps

Not a speed trap, but still a trap. There are about 3 cops on motorcycles waiting on Magoun Street to watch people turning from the Right Lane on Westbound Mass ave (Towards Arlington) onto Magoun Street, where the “don’t block the box” section is located. Apparently there is a law that says you cannot make such a turn.

Between Auburn St and Franklin St. There is a motorcycle patrol that will sit just before the Enterprise Car Rental, in behind the parked cars with a radar gun. He steps out and flags you down for exceeding the 25mph speed limit.

There was a cop on foot with lidar pointed at on coming traffic, possibly because sportbike riders like to ride storrow at night?

There’s still always cops pulling people over in Central Square, either on foot, on motorcycles, or in cars. Be careful!

There are *always* cops in Central Square pulling people over for red light, crosswalk, and left turn violations, especially between Prospect Street and Inman Street. They’re there at all times of the day and night, on foot, in cars, or on motorcycles.

Be really careful, or try to avoid the area entirely if you can.
