Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts Speed Traps

Westbound just before rotary, using laser/lidar. Illegally posted speed drops from 35 to 25. (Municipal records list speed limit as 40)

Cop is there waiting for speeders on going East on Newton St or watching for Stop-sign runners going West on Newton St.

Police will sit in the parking lot next to exit ramp from Rt.9 East onto Hammond Pond Parkway. If you do not stop at the stop line for a full 3 seconds they will pull you over!

There is almost always an officer sitting at the entrance to Putterham Golf Course, right near the rotary which joins W Roxbury Pkwy with Hammond Pond Pkwy. Even though its two lane divided parkway, the speed limit is only 35 here, so beware.
