Washington Street past the Junction of Turnpike St.

Easton, MassachusettsAug 12, 20110 Comments

Officers usually forget that 3 speed limits converge in this area and will write a ticket based on the wrong speed limit. It is 40 up to the junction heading southbound, 45 on the northbound side, and 30 coming off Turnpike st. The speed limit, hidden behind lots of foliage is actually 45 going south just around the corner of the junction.

Further confusing the officers is north of the junction the speed limit is different on each side of the street.

While not technically a speed trap it is often an area where you get a ticket for the wrong reason.

Cruisers sit in the Immacculate Conception Chuch parking lot, usually after sunset. The street is technically a 20m.p.h., but you can get away with 30.
