Haverhill, Massachusetts Speed Traps
Trooper will hide behind guard rail with driver’s door open shining radar at cars. Usually located where rest area exits to highway.
Police park on your left next to the stone wall as you come down to the stop sign on Marsh Ave. Roll threw the stop and here they come….
Beware of tag teaming. Car sits in Washington Square and radios to motorcycle cops and or bicycle patrol. Very busy this past Wednesday 8/27. I saw three cars getting awards at the same time in three different locations on Merrimack St.
There are many side streets off of Lowell Street…people do tend to spead down this street, making it very difficult and very dangerous for anyone trying to come out of a side street…police may not be there for months, then all of a sudden they are parked half way up a side street and come flying out to get speeders…this street could be consider a sort of access street to avoid 97…as it is right of it..people take advantage of the nice smooth straight road..simple as that..beware…they have been out for the past two weeks…
Enforcement officers park in a driveway just over the Route 495 overpass heading toward downtown Haverhill. The use radar to check speeds coming over the highway. They also monitor a stop sign at the off ramp and Main Street next to the driveway.
