Hudson, Massachusetts Speed Traps

After leaving I-495 from Exit 26, proceeding East on Route 62, the initial speed limit is 40 MPH for a very short distance. For about half a mile after that, along Route 62 East, is a wooded area where the speed limit changes to 50 mph for a very short distance along Route 62. The police park on the left in a little alcove near the sand depot and you don’t see them because it’s dark there and hilly. They also cruise along that stretch, and will give tickets based on (visual) estimated speeds. I once got a citation for going 59 based on a police estimate — they were traveling in the opposite direction from me!
