Longmeadow, Massachusetts Speed Traps
With a very low crime rate in this upscale community, the rest area on the west side of Longmeadow Street (also known as interstate Route 5) and at the southerly end of the Longmeadow and less than a mile from the Enfield, CT border, when you least suspect it, will have a car clocking radar. Bottom line: Watch your step ~~ or rather your speed which better be no more than 35 MPH…
They stay on Rogers Road going towards the high school, so any cars comming from the school speeding get clocked. You cant see them because they are after the hill. Usually my radar detector picks them up at the begining of the street, but once they almost got me with instant on.
Coming down hill on Route 5 from Enfield you will hit lits at Maple Road. After lights you can see Longmeadow Police on left hand side in the rest area. Usually a marked cop car or unmarked Silver car.
Mass State Trooper sits between 91N and 91S right after state border as you come around corner in MA. He is there 3 out of 4 times a week during AM Rush and PM Rush hour.
