A short access road connects the northbound and southbound sides of Route 128, about midway between these two exits. Northbound (after driving past exit 15), it comes up just beyond the crest of a hill; southbound (after driving past exit 14) , the dense trees in the median end right at the road, so that a cruiser can park just a few feet off the left lane and not be seen in advance.

Also, cruisers often park in the breakdown lane a little beyond this spot (in each direction), to catch drivers who speed up after driving past it, thinking they’re safe.
