Ashley Blvd./Acushnet Ave. Ramp (Exit 6) off the Massachusetts-140

New Bedford, MassachusettsMar 01, 20100 Comments

When you take the left Exit 6 ramp off of the MA-140 South (Ashley Blvd./Acushnet Ave.), the speed limit drops to 50 mph. About 1/2 mile later, before the Dunkin Donuts, it drops to 35 mph. The sign that tells you the reduced speed is only a very short distance from the actual 35 mph sign. Since it curves slightly to the right at that point, it is a perfect spot for a New Bedford cop to sit with his laser. They have you before you even see them. It is not uncommon to see 3 to 4 cars pulled over at the same time.
