Plymouth, Massachusetts Speed Traps

Plymouth PD are set up on Carver Road/Old Rte 44 just past Esta Road and the White Church. They are also set up about 1/2 down as well at times. Speed limit is 35 mph.

Appears to be new officer in area. He’s using laser primarily from the median about a mile past exit 3 south right after you go under the bridge. He has hit me with laser twice in last month. I was not so lucky the second time! Was given a warning for 75 in a 60 at 12:30 a.m., anybody who travels this road knows that is pretty much the unwritten limit. You pretty much have to be careful after exit 5 south too many hiding places and enforcement does seem to be increasing. I drive with a radar detector and this officer bagged me. Laser is impossible to detect trust me!

Rt 44 west of Rt 3 exit 6A after Shaws and Walgreens heading twords carver go about 3/4 of a mile just after the top of the hill and before the fire station. High enforcement area in the AM.

Be careful exiting onto Plymouth Plantation Highway. You exit on the left lane (65 MPH on Rt. 3), and that turns into a 55 MPH zone, and then drops down to 50 MPH 200 yards down the road. Police are very quick to pull over someone doing 5 MPH over the limit.

Plymouth cops are always on this road at night so beware! Especially near the Nstar power plant with his lights off. The street is posted at 30 mph and has a steep hill going down, so it is easy to be doing 35 mph or so without even realizing it. They also sit a mile west of there where the limit is posted at 35. They will grab you!
