Raynham, Massachusetts Speed Traps

It’s a very clever one! Officer on Old Carver St. is well-hidden by trees. As Field St (in Taunton) enters into Raynham, the street name changes to Carver St and the speed limit drops from 40 mph to 30 mph. Before you have time to slow down, officer hiding on Old Carver St. nabs you. Same occurs when heading from Rt 138 in Raynham onto Carver: speed limit drops, and officer on Old Carver St. is waiting for you. Carver Street between Field St and Rte. 138 is only about half a mile long, but Raynham must make a bundle on speeding tickets.

Hidden Police trap

Very common trap. State troopers sit in the police U-turn on the mdeian and are well hidden until it is too late. It is very common to see one facing the northbound side during AM rush and facing southbound during the PM rush. It is also common to see 2 troopers and even see troopers at night.
