Saugus, Massachusetts Speed Traps
Lynnhurst School on Walnut St.
In the driveway of the Lynnhurst School @ Walnut and Elm Streets. He sits about thirty feet back from the road during evening rush hour. I’ve been driving home this way for years and he’s almost always there in the afternoon. There’s a light at the intersection of Walnut and Elm. Run it, and your wallet will be about a hundred bucks lighter.
Water St. North bound
Just past the golf course heading to Wakefield, you come to a curve. They sit Just around the curve with a radar gun. Usually they have those digital radar signs that tell you how fast you’re going, but a couple of times a month they set up here. The speed limit is 30 but nobody goes less than 35-45 here. They had me dead last summer, I was doing about 45 on my way to work, but they were just setting up and yelled to me to slow down.
Walnut st. Gospel Hall
The Saugus police hang out in the parking lot of this gospel hall and wait for people coming off of route 1. Usually it is a regular police vehicle, but sometimes there is an unmarked car or an SUV.
