Shutesbury, Massachusetts Speed Traps

The speed limit slows to 20 mph here. There’s a little park with swimming area, and a parking lot across the street. Kids frolic there and the police are very serious about this spot, literally every summer day and not unusually at other times of the year.

If you’re coming from Route 202 once you crest a large hill it becomes Leverett Rd. The Police always seem to be sitting on this road, anywhere from what I think is the town hall to the town line with Leverett, but they seem to primarily sit in the Fire Station parking lot. If you’re heading towards Route 202, you’re on Leverett Rd once you enter Shutesbury from Leverett.

Shutebury police officer regularly ticket motorists traveling through, the road is twisting and windy with a number of areas for a Police cruiser to remain undetected.Lake Wyola to Pelham line about 2 miles. Anyone who travels S. or North know that police regularly are posted in Pelham(vigorous enforcement) and Shutebury and to a lesser extent but fairly often as well in New Salem
