Westwood, Massachusetts Speed Traps
Close to stop sign Pond and Clapboardtree
Marked cruiser usually during rush hour, either parked at the entrance to the parking lot of the Temple Beth David, or at Circuit Ave at the intersection with Pond St. Possibly monitoring the 4-way stop sign for violaters. Never seen anybody pulled over.
Route 1A at St. Denis Church
They sit in the back corner of either parking lot near the church and wait for speeders to go a little fast on this straight road. if you are paying attention you can spot them from far off. but its just as easy for them to blend in, and you go be doing 45+ and not actually paying attention.
Route 1 At The Pool Equipment Store
They often sit right at the entrance from rote 1. Not so much to catch speeders, but to catch the people that use that breakdown lane as a speedy travel lane to make it to Everett Street, when southbound traffic is at a stand still.
Clapboard Street near After Nahatan Road
Clapboardtree Street – lots of police coverage.
The most intense is after crossing Nahatan and driving by the large houses.
Sharp corner on Clapboardtree Street near Xaverian Brothers High School
Will not be able to see behind trees when taking the 15 MPH curve when travelling in the eastbound direction, clearly in other direction.
