The cops will wait in parking lots up and down route 38 between Andreas Pizza (Swanton St.) intersection and the Stop and Shop (Skillings Rd.) There’s often a cop by the bank/car wash and town pantry.
Fletcher Street near Packer Tennis Courts
As you come up the road past Horn Pond, and over the crest of the hill, a cruiser is parked in a blind spot(for the driver)right before the tennis courts. Very strict with younger drivers.
Rt.38 / Main Street near Lanes Funeral Home
Lanes Funeral Home let’s the police use his lot to do traps regularly. The lot is recessed and is the perfect spot to ZAP unsuspecting speeders. Sometimes at night, the cops actually unplug one headlight in their cruisers so as to give the illusion that this may be a regular Joe. So pay attention. Winchester Police are bored security guards, patrolling a beat where the biggest thing that happens in a day is a �D-Run�, that�s their radio code for Duncan Donuts break. Can you say clich�?
State Highway 3a near Cambridge Street
There is usually a State police crusier or local Winchester police sitting in Mahoneys parking lot. The only time I noticed either of them sitting there was PM rush hour and late at night. They got me once around 9:30 p.m. Didn’t see them sitting there.
