Southfield Expressway near Oakwood Boulevard
While on Southbound Southfield Freeway just after Oakwood Blvd, Allen Park police sit on the entrance ramp from Oakwood Blvd. He sits far enough back on the ramp that driving on the freeway you can’t see him until after you pass the on-ramp and he’s behind you.
Southfield Expressway near Outer Drive and Rotunda Drive
This is one of the biggest speed traps around Michigan. On Southfield expressway (M-39) between Outer Drive, and Rotunda Drive. The Allen Pk, police have a car sitting on the Outer Drive bridge with a radar gun aimed down at the traffic going South, and Northbound on M-39. The cop on the bridge calls ahead to the 2 to 5 police cars waiting on M- 39 below, to let them know which cars to pull over for speeding. This usually happens around rush hour morning and evening traffic. And almost always on the weekends. Allen is well know for this trap. You should put this on you site.

Outer Drive near 75 Expressway
Allen Park police Dept. car sits on Outer Dr. between Dix Rd and I-75 between 3 pm & 6 pm. Seems to target Ford Motor Co. employees leaving work for the day. Gives a lot of speeding tickets for a few miles over the speed limit.
Interstate 94 East & Westbound near Southfield Road to Telegraph Road
Allen Park police are terrible in this area. Speed limit is 70mph. They don’t tend to bother you running 75, but above that and you’re begging for a ticket. Police lights are under the hood and in the windows, not atop the vehicle. This makes it more difficult for police to be noticed. This area is between Detroit and Detroit Metropolitan Airport and monitored around the clock.
