County and state units will run between the interstate and Raco. Sometimes they will have 3 – 4 cars pulled over at once.

County sheriff patrols M-28 between I-75 (exit 386) and M-221. It is very easy to go a lot faster than the posted speed if you just got off the interstate. They seem to target Canadian cars in both directions.

As you head west from the intersection of M221 and Lakeshore drive, you enter the Bay Mills Indian Reservation. The tribe police like to setup about three miles into the rez where the speed limit changes from 55 to 25 just before the King’s Club Casino. They also like to wait along the road west of the casino in the residential area where the limit is posted at 35 for a number of miles. The tribe police cars are a light blue and blend in well.
