Saltz Road near Between Canton Center & Morton Taylor

Canton, MichiganJun 30, 20050 Comments

The cops will strictly enforce the 25mph zone between Canton Center and Morton Taylor on Saltz road. They routinely park on a sidestreet facing Saltz, on the side of Saltz, and in Hoben Elementary facing Saltz.

Cherry Hill Road near Ridge and Denton Road

Canton, MichiganMay 23, 20050 Comments

Speed goes from 45 to 25 in this open and uninhabited stretch. There are two commercial buildings and a theater (not a movie theater). There are future neighborhoods but with limited access. It’s not like there are dozens of driveways and/or kids running around.

Palmer Road near Canton Center Road

Canton, MichiganMay 10, 20050 Comments

As you are heading west on Palmer the speed limit is 45 but immediately after crossing Canton Center Rd. it drops to 25…….quite hard to slow down, once you spot the speed limit sign it’s too late (unless you slam on your brakes). There is no sign telling you before Canton Center Rd. that the speed limit drops, and there’s no law requiring the township to put one up. Very unfair.

Mortan Taylor Road near Joy Road

Right next to the farmer Jack on morton taylor the cop sits in the chruch parking lot, and zaps away, be careful, because during school hours the speed limit is 25, and during other hours, its only 40. furthermore when the cop is in the chruch parking lot it is hard to see from either ends of the road, cuase there is a grass hump, Be careful.

Haggerty Road near Koppernick Road

Canton, MichiganSep 08, 20040 Comments

As you are traveling either northbound OR southbound on Haggerty, OR east or westbound on Koppernick, BEWARE! There have been constant "pullovers" in and around that intersection by Canton Police from which I think are speeders. The police sit at the end of a driveway at the northeast portion of that intersection, and is quite hidden from motorists going northbound Haggerty. There is no real way to have southbound motorists spot the police from what I have seen. Those driving down Koppernick need to be careful, especially on the west side of Haggerty, as the speed limit on Koppernick is 25 MPH. The police sit on the opposite side of Haggerty, and will target you as you go down Koppernick. Koppernick west of Haggerty is more or less an industrial setting, with warehouses and the like over there. I have also seen Canton Police sitting in various driveways off of Koppernick waiting for speeders to fly by.
