School zone. They sit at the fire department across from the elementary school in the morning and afternoon when the school speed zone is in effect. I see people pulled over there several times during the day.

Southbound lane of Dixie Hwy., just before I-75. Usually late evening (11:00pm) to 3:00 am. The speed limit changes from 50 mph to 55mph back to 50mph then to 45mph, within 1.5 miles. Enforcement is there at night frequently.

State Highway M15 near State Highway Dixie

Clarkston, MichiganMay 27, 20060 Comments

South of downtown Clarkston and Dixie Highway, the speed limit changes from 30 in the city to 40. I was pulled over for going too slow (30 in a 40). I’ve seen this same officer have others pulled over in the same area. It gives them a chance to check for seat belts, registration, proof of insurance, etc. and ticket you.

Waldon Street near M15 and Sashabaw Crossing

Waldon Road near Royal St. George Road

Clarkston, MichiganApr 25, 20060 Comments

Eastbound Waldon just as you pass over I-75 from Sashabaw, there is a dirt area on the north side of the street just before Royal St. George, more commonly known as the entrance to Pine Knob Golf Course. They sit there and radar both East and West Bound traffic and the speed limit is 35, but has just dropped from 45, and the road is newly paved, no residences are nearby, and its EASY to speed there because the drop should be further down the street when you start to get closer to residences that are directly on the road. The sign says ‘Temporary’ on it, but its been that way for 5 years or longer.
