Commerce Township, Michigan Speed Traps

While heading west on West Oakley Road, the speed limit drops from 45 MPH to 30 MPH right after you cross South Commerce Road. West Oakley Road has a few bends where the sheriff will sit and clock cars heading west, typically on the south side of the road. The road is also slighly downhill, so it’s easy to hit 45 MPH again just by taking your foot off the accelerator .

The speed limit goes from 70 down to 55 at 13 Mile. Twice late at night I’ve seen a police car in the dark on the side of the road and I’ve also seen people pulled over in that same stretch of M-5.
