The state police always park on the east & west bound side of the freeway as soon as you pass the Woodward exit be prepared because the state police are sitting right there ready to give you a big fat ticket.

The Detroit Police are parked on side streets off of Cadieux between Harper and Mack looking mostly looking for drivers on cell phones. The City of Detroit recently made it illegal to talk on a hand-held cell phone while driving. A lot of suburbanites, mostly Grosse Pointers, don’t know this and get nailed right here.

While traveling north on I-75 before the outer drive exit the spped limit is 70 mph. After the exit the speed limit drops to 55 mph.

upon exit off the davison expressway the exit lane has a sign posted that says exit 30mph and a sign as you go up the exit ramp that says 30mile speed limit.
You exit the expressway at 55mph(the speed limit) Then you must immediately slow down to 30mph. I can’t count the number of times I have almost been rear-ended, honked and cursed at for slowing down. The county sheriff are waiting at the top to give you a ticket. Another police car tags you first.
