The police sit on W. Josephine behind other cars so you don’t see them until its too late. They clock the traffic on High street and watch for people to run the stop sign. The fine is kept within the city and cost $195.00. they do this in a way you get no points on your license.
Southfield Rd. at Pepper Rd.
Ecorse police sit on Pepper Road just back far enough not to see them, and clock people on Southfield road heading north and south bound. They’ll also get you for running a yellow light. So if you are approaching this intersection make sure you time the light correctly. The speed limit on Southfield road is 35mph, but it gets up to 45-50mph sometimes. It’s strange how they won’t clock people on Pepper Road where the speed limit is 15mph, but the average speed is 35mph…. That’s Ecorse for ya!
