Farmington Hills, Michigan Speed Traps

Cops (marked and non-marked) sit in the parking lot or service drive after hours next to BonVenture indoor skating rink. Usually in the dusk or evening hours. They have started sitting here, since the completion of the North Halsted bridge to 12 Mile was completed. The road is only 40, but its only posted once. Be aware, they are sneaky and sit just far enough back from the road, so you can’t see until you pass.

He has a new spot , sitting in the dark in the parking lot of Brendas Beans and greens and you can’t see him because of the bushes. So he can catch ppl coming off of the M-5. This btw Middlebelt and 8 Mile.

I have seen officers sit in the Mercedes Benz dealer driveway facing North attempting to catch speeders coming South on Haggerty over the 96/696 overpasses. I see them early on weekend days.

The FHPD is starting to write more speeding tickets according to my police officer friend. I have seen a silver crown vic and a burgundy camero mostly in the abandoned Continental building’s parking lot.

There’s a light between 12 & 13 Mile on Farmington Rd. They wait on the side street for people who speed through the light. They pull them over, ticket them and go wait on the same road for more speeders. We have watched them pull people over about every 10 minutes.
