Flushing, Michigan Speed Traps
State Highway 13 near between Pierson and Dodge/Ditch
Flushing Township, New Lothrop, and Montrose police all like to catch people in the act. It’s easy to do 65mph+ on M-13 (Sheridan Ave) since it’s straight. I’ve passed them doing 60 or less, but lots like to do more than that and they will get ticketed. Most are in the evening, but I’ve seen enforcement during the day as well.
Common traps:
– Johnstone Rd or Ditch Rd and M-13: Two squad cars parked opposite of each other at night, varying departments.
– Harley Davidson shop on corner of Easton Rd/M-13. I’ve seen them park there or across the street at a paving business.
– A repair shop on M-13 and either Coldwater or Carpenter. It’s pretty easy to disguise yourself as one of the cars sitting there for repair, and then when you realize it’s a cop, then you’re too late.
