US Highway US 31 near Wendy’s Restaurant
The local police will sit in the Wendy’s parking lot- (parked at an angle so you can’t see them until the last second)and will radar Southbound US 31 traffic heading out of Grand Haven. (Just before Jackson St.) They will usually be there either early morning or late evening- but especially Sunday mornings.
US Highway 31 near Green Draw Bridge on North Side of town
SB on US-31 as you enter the town of Grand Haven you will cross over the US-31 Draw Bridge at the Grand River. As your headed SB approaching the bridge the Speed Limit drops from 70 to 50 over the bridge. As soon as you get off the bridge the limit drops again to 40 as you approach Jackson Rd. Just before Jackson the limit drops again to 30 for about a mile thru town. Just after Jackson there is a gas station on the west side of 31 where the city cops love to hide and radar drivers as they enter town. If you in this area it’s very hard to make sure you speed is down from 70 to 30 before you hit town because it happens pretty quickly. The cops love this spot, especially at night because it’s a pretty quiet town and I’m sure they get bored at night and this spot to nail the unsuspecting driver.
