Grandville, Michigan Speed Traps
Kenowa Avenue near 44th Street
Officer sits in an area on the eastern side of Kenowa Ave, near the Public School transportation drive or the driveway next to it. Predominately shoots at northbound traffic but has been known to aim at southbound. Usually just lets the radar run but new female officer uses instant on (k or KA band). Very busy area, sits for hours. Speed limit is 35mph but most drive 45 unless officer present.
Wilson Avenue near south of Prairie street
Patrol car sits in the commercial lot on the east side of Wilson directly south of Buck Creek, near Brookcrest Nursing Home. They’re hard to spot there and have a clear view of traffic for hundreds of feet in both directions. Nasty.
Prairie Street near Between Ivanrest and Wilson
Lengthy stretch of 25 mph through town. The speed limit signs do say that the limit is "Strictly Enforced".
Interstate 196 Westbound near 28th Street
Grandville PD sits in the turn-around by Wilson/28th St, usually on the weekends. I see him there almost every other weekend on the way back from the bar in GR. A friend of mine got busted for speeding and DUI there.
Kenowa between I-196 and 44th St.
I got nailed coming down over I-196. Doing 55 in a 35. Cop was nice enough… gave me 10 over.
